I have often gone to the National Western Stock Show in Denver.  It is usually bitter cold as the ever popular event is held in January of each year.  “Wild One” is a taken from sketches and photographs I gathered during one of those events.  Dirty and worn, this “bronc” was penned up with other broncs employed for one the bronc busting events of rodeo.  In my painting I set him free to wander the sage covered plains again in peace and quiet.
