“Determination”
American Bison of Yellowstone National Park
“Determination” is another depiction of my favorite animal, the American Bison of Yellowstone National Park. This image was collected about 40 years before I painted it. When I felt I had developed enough skill to accurately capture the historical character of the American Bison, I painted it and entered it into the Society of Animal Artist (SAA) national exhibition in San Diego, CA. There it earned the prestigious Award of Excellence.
(Park regulations prohibit approaching wild animals for your own safety.
