Kay Witherspoon has earned two award of excellence from the Society of Animal Artists and the coveted “Founder’s Award” from the American Academy of Equine Art.  In 2005, by special invitation and with the explicit approval of St. James Palace, she was invited to participate in the “Royal Ascot at York” Official Magazine for her equestrian sporting art paintings.
