In 2014 and 2015 I participated in a northern Colorado late April horse drive that covered over 60 miles, included about 700 horses, and took two long days. In this particular scene, ranch hands pushed horses through a creek swollen with spring snow melt from the mountains. It was bitter cold yet this colorful old cowboy was as undaunted as he was weathered and determined.
