“Best Part of Waking Up”
” The Best Part of Waking Up”, is an oil painting by K.Witherspoon. It features the open pastures of South Denver, CO. This particular spot is the scene just north of my art studio off Lincoln Avenue and south of C470. .
It is home to coyotes, mountain lion, prairie dogs, cattle and horses, as well as numerous housing developments. I selected this location because my studio faces perfect north light which is ideal for oil painting. Also ideal are the incredibly colorful eastern sunrises.
